A unique Wild Edible Plant Foraging Experience took place in Pera Orinis, Nicosia last Saturday, exclusively for our supporters. In collaboration with Aperanti Agrotourism, we brought our supporters closer to nature through a hands-on and immersive activity.
During this special day, our supporters explored the valley, collecting wild edible plants, flowers, and roots, while learning how to safely identify them and understand their nutritional and medicinal properties.
The experience began with a guided walk through the countryside, where participants discovered the richness of Cyprus’ local biodiversity. This was followed by an interactive session where the group worked together to transform their foraged ingredients into a shared meal, highlighting the connection between nature, food, and sustainability.
The workshop offered a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with nature, learn traditional knowledge, and experience firsthand the value of wild plants in our everyday lives.
