The “Natura 2000” European Ecological Network is a wide European network of protected natural areas for species of flora, fauna, birds, and habitats. It is the largest network of protected areas in the world!

Under the framework of “Pandoteira” project, we took part in the celebration event for European Natura 2000 Day, on Saturday May 21st at the Troodos Botanical Garden “A. G. Leventis”.

The celebration included different activities for all ages people, with the aim of bringing people closer to nature and helping them realise the value of the Natura 2000 network. Children and children at heart also had the opportunity to participated in other activities, such as hiking at a nearby nature trail, bird ringing, building bird nests, playing interactive educational games for sea turtles etc.
