We are happy that our Foundation is featured in Breeze, the official magazine of Cyprus Airways, through an extensive feature dedicated to Cyprus’s sea turtles and the importance of protecting them.
Through the pages of the magazine, visitors travelling to our island have the opportunity to learn about these unique protected species, which choose Cyprus’s beaches to lay their eggs, while also raising awareness about how they too can help protect these remarkable animals. The feature also provides information about their life cycle, the threats they face, and Terra Cypria’s work to protect them.
Every summer, Cyprus’s beaches host a unique natural wonder. And protecting this wonder—our sea turtles, also depends on the choices we make.
If you visit a nesting beach:
🐢 Respect marked nesting sites.
🌙 Avoid bright lights and loud noise during the night.
⛱️ Do not place beach umbrellas by driving them into the sand.
🚯 Do not leave litter on the beach.
🐕 Keep your pets away from nesting sites.
🌊 Enjoy nature responsibly, leaving it as you found it.
