The Cyprus Environmental Studies Center resumed classes after the Christmas break. The first lessons of the new year took place with our visit to Chloraka Elementary School.
Members of our team delivered an engaging, informative presentation on birds. We discussed migration, the challenges, and threats they face during their journey to Cyprus. We delved into the evolution of birds from their dinosaur ancestors, explored the unique characteristics that allow them to fly and thrive in their diverse habitats. Our discussion highlighted the role of birds in maintaining ecological balance and underscored their importance for a thriving ecosystem.
Furthermore, we talked about the world of freshwater invertebrates, their significance in the food chain, and strategies for their conservation.
Using stereoscopes, we investigated them, and examined their adaptation mechanisms and the ways they navigate and survive within their natural environment.
