On Sunday, 29 March 2026, we came together for a special educational hike along the “Teisia tis Madaris” trail, in collaboration with the group Los Vagabundos, within the framework of the Pandora project, and with the support of BirdLife Cyprus and Frederick University.

Through a beautiful and easy nature route, participants had the opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity and unique geology of the area. During the hike, our team shared insights about Cyprus’s protected areas, as well as the flora, fauna, and bird species hosted in the region.

Surrounded by endemic plants and seasonal wildflowers, such as orchids, participants also had the chance to observe important bird species using binoculars in their natural habitat.

The trail offered stunning scenery and panoramic views towards Akrotiri, the Limassol Salt Lake, the Pentadaktylos mountain range, Kyrenia, and Morphou Bay. The striking geological formations of the “Teisia” were also of particular interest.
