The event was held in collaboration with the Local Authority of Kato Pyrgos Tillyrias, on March 12, at the Primary School of Pyrgos Tillyrias.
The purpose of the presentation was to inform the members of the Local Government as well as the residents about the “Pandoteira” project and the actions that are planned to take place in their area. Also presented were the specific characteristics of their complex, including the characterization of species and habitats, their conservation status, and the geographical expansion of the Natura 2000 sites of the cluster.
More specifically, in the Tower of Tillyria, actions have been presented that concern the following areas: SPA Paphos Forest, Paphos Forest, SPA Sarama Valley, Drymos Area, Crete Marottos Area, and EZD Vouni Panagias.
Our aim is to raise awareness among the public on the importance of the Natura 2000 Network, as well as to introduce them to the concept of grouping and to the commonalities and characteristics of the Natura 2000 sites, which constitute their complex and surround their community.
