Terra Cypria-The Cyprus Conservation Foundation is one of the four partners along with BirdLife Cyprus, the Game and Fauna Service and the Vulture Conservation Foundation that have joined forces to provide a lifeline for the threatened Griffon Vulture through LIFE with Vultures, a new four-year project aiming to prevent the extinction of Griffon Vulture in Cyprus.
The objective of the project is to prevent the extinction of Gyps fulvus (Griffon Vulture) in Cyprus and then improve the conservation status of the Griffon Vulture population by addressing critical threats to the species, involving key stakeholders and bolstering the local population to enable population recovery.
Terra Cypria focuses on targeted communication with local communities as well as the socio-economic aspects of the project.
