On October 7th and 8th, we participated as guests of HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES AUSTRIA at the “5th Anniversary Celebration of the Huawei TECH4ALL Initiative” held in Vienna.

Our Foundation’s Executive Director, Koulla Michael, took part in a panel discussion on how technology and AI can assist in nature conservation. In her speech, she stated: “Technology and artificial intelligence cannot replace scientists. However, they can be powerful tools for prevention, leveraging their ability to rapidly collect, analyze, and integrate environmental data, especially in an era where climate change, ecosystem loss, and species extinction are rapidly shifting environmental parameters. Swift and detailed analysis can significantly aid in making timely decisions and implementing appropriate management measures to protect and preserve our natural environment.”

At the event, the latest research findings from TECH4ALL projects across Europe were presented, including the biodiversity protection initiative with Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park and the University of Vienna.
