With the support of our Foundation and the Nicosia Youth Council, the photo exhibition of the CARDET research centre, entitled Capture it – Act on it, on climate change and the environment, took place in Nicosia on the 14th of March.
During the presentation that the Education and Research Officer of our team, Orestis Kargotis gave, it was mentioned that photography and arts are important in that they can (perfectly) convey the need for action and stressed that as Terra Cypria, we work daily on the issue of climate change.
The aim of the event was to raise awareness about climate change. People from all over the island participated in the competition, capturing with their cameras the issue of climate change and environmental protection.
The photos depict various aspects and consequences of climate change on everyday life, aiming to raise awareness and call people to act now!
