While taking in the breathtaking sunset, we will observe little owls. If we\u2019re lucky, we may even spot some bats!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During our short walk, you will also learn about the artificial nests we have installed in the area, as well as our other conservation and nature protection actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why visit Agios Sozomenos?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just 20 kilometres south of Nicosia, where the rivers Gialias and Alykos join waters, lies a landscape of exceptional natural beauty. Set against the backdrop of the abandoned village of Agios Sozomenos, an impressive ecosystem unfolds, where rugged cliffs embrace a rich biodiversity. It is a place where nature and history coexist in harmony, creating a captivating setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area is part of the Natura 2000<\/a> network and you can find out more about it following this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be led by members of the Pandoteira project<\/a> team from Terra Cypria<\/a> and BirdLife Cyprus<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
