The successful candidate will contribute to both environmental conservation actions and communication activities, working both in the office and in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nature Conservation and Communications Officer will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organize and implement communication, networking, and awareness-raising activities, highlighting the ecological significance of the project areas (Akrotiri and Agios Nikolaos).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage and regularly update the project website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare and promote project actions through social media, websites, and newsletters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize events and seminars based on the Program&#8217;s needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in management and eradication actions for invasive alien species (e.g., <em>Acacia saligna<\/em> \/ Acacia).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in conservation actions for the management and protection of orchid populations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support conservation actions aiming at the protection, restoration, and enhancement of Habitat Type 5220* within the Special Area of Conservation (SAC) of Agios Nikolaos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in the development of an agri-environmental plan for farmers in the Agios Nikolaos area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cooperate closely with the Executive Director, project partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of project activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in monitoring, reporting, and documenting the project as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Essential Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree (BSc) or higher in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and spoken.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Very good computer literacy, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability and willingness to conduct field work under varied environmental conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility to work occasionally on evenings or weekends, when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driving license and ability to travel within Cyprus for the purposes of the Program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Desirable Additional Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree (MSc) or higher in a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least one year of professional experience in environmental protection, ecological research, environmental communication, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in stakeholder consultation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in website and
