The Pandoteira<\/a> project, in collaboration with the Los Vagabundos team, are organizing an educational hike at \u201cTeisia tis Madaris\u201d trail. Join us to learn about the biodiversity and the geology of the area, while enjoying the beautiful route and impressive view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the hike, members of the Pandoteira<\/a> project team will inform us about the protected areas of Cyprus, the flora, fauna and avifauna that can be found in the specific protected area, as well as its unique geology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trail is considered easy. It\u2019s a 3 km long<\/strong>, circular trail and it will take us approximately 2 hours<\/strong> to complete the hike, including the information stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Points of interest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The route offers stunning views of Akrotiri and the Limassol salt marsh, as well as Pentadaktylos, Kyrenia and Morphou Bay. We will walk among junipers and endemic golden oaks, while observing the wildflowers of the season, such as orchids. We will also learn about the different bird species of the area and we might be lucky enough to observe certain species, such as the Bonelli\u2019s Eagle, the Cyprus Wheatear, the Cyprus Jay, the Cyprus Coal Tit and the Short-toed Treecreeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
