In the framework of the Pandoteira project, our Foundation organised the first of a series of training workshops on “Sustainable business planning and environmentally friendly marketing in Natura 2000 protected areas”. The free workshop took place on 15 June 2024, in Agios Theodoros, Larnaca.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In cooperation with the Frederick University, we offered participants the basic knowledge to  design and market their own environmentally friendly business, operating within or near Natura 2000 protected areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the workshop, participants explored ways to integrate a green perspective in marketing. They also examined how they can develop business plans that promote their products and services, whilst promoting  values of sustainable development and environmental protection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop\u2019s aim was to equip participants with knowledge they can apply to start a business, but alsostrengthen their competitiveness within the framework of their current business activities. Moreover, participants were able to learn the basic marketing principles and apply practical tools to create strategic marketing plans. In this context, emphasis was placed on the need to integrate environmental awareness at every stage of the marketing planning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants showed particular interest, raising their own concerns and questions.  This workshop was the first in a series of upcoming workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
