{"id":346,"date":"2022-03-10T08:13:10","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T06:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/terracypria.org\/we-celebrated-the-world-wetlands-day-at-lake-makria-at-ladys-mile\/"},"modified":"2023-02-15T10:45:06","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T08:45:06","slug":"we-celebrated-the-world-wetlands-day-at-lake-makria-at-ladys-mile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/terracypria.org\/tr\/we-celebrated-the-world-wetlands-day-at-lake-makria-at-ladys-mile\/","title":{"rendered":"We celebrated the World Wetlands Day at Lake Makria at Lady&#8217;s Mile"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Two events for the celebration of the World Wetlands Day were successfully held at Lake Makria at Lady\u2019s Mile.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Distinguished guests and&nbsp;<\/em><em>many&nbsp;<\/em><em>people honoured us with their presence at the two events that took place to celebrate World Wetlands Day, on February 2<\/em><em><sup>nd<\/sup><\/em>&nbsp;<em>&nbsp;and<\/em><em>&nbsp;February<\/em><em>&nbsp;5<\/em><em><sup>th<\/sup><\/em><em>&nbsp;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Wetlands Day (WWD) is celebrated internationally and every year on&nbsp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;of February.&nbsp; On this occasion our Foundation, in collaboration with BirdLife Cyprus, organized two events at Lake Makria at Lady\u2019s Mile, on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;and 5<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;of February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the 2nd of February, the recently upgraded birdwatching hide of Lake Makria was inaugurated by Mrs Nikoletta Gavriilidou \u2013 Limassol\u2019s Assistant District Officer and Mr. James Coates \u2013 Policy Secretary of SBAA. On the 5th of February, the event was open to the public.
