{"id":1910,"date":"2023-02-20T14:00:42","date_gmt":"2023-02-20T12:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/terracypria.org\/?p=1910"},"modified":"2023-03-02T14:08:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T12:08:46","slug":"%ce%b1-successful-hike-of-the-pandoteira-project-held-in-mitsero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/terracypria.org\/tr\/%ce%b1-successful-hike-of-the-pandoteira-project-held-in-mitsero\/","title":{"rendered":"\u0391 successful hike of the Pandoteira project held in Mitsero"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>In the context of the European project \u201cPandoteira\u201d and in cooperation with the Community Councils of Mitsero and Agrokipia, we organized a hike on the \u201cKreatis\u201d mountain in Mitsero on 18 February.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kreatis is an area included in the Natura 2000 Network, which consists of habitats, in which there are 500 types of plants. The participants, who came from all different parts of Cyprus, expressed their interest in the Natura 2000 network, asked about the criteria based on which an area is included in this Network, but also how they can use their land if it\u2019s included in the Natura Network.<\/p>\n<p>Besides of the environmental importance of the area, Kreatis represents an important point in history, considering that it was there one of the last battles of the revolutionary Re Alexis.<\/p>\n<p>At the top of the mountain, the General Secretary of EKA (association of Cypriot farmers), Panikos Hambas, talked a bit about the battle that took place in Mitsero and the actions taken by Re Alexis.
