It was with great pleasure that we held an online seminar on the 11th of March, on the subject of standardization and how standards, in general, can contribute to the protection of the environment.
The seminar was held in collaboration with the Cyprus Standardization Organization (CYS), the European NGO Environmental Coalition on Standards (ECOS), and our Foundation.
The main goal of the seminar was to learn what standardization and standards are, but also how they can help shape a more sustainable future. The seminar was addressed to Non-Governmental Organizations as well as companies, associations, and associations that deal with the environment and are related to standards.
The three organizers set up their organizations and presented what the standards are, the standards body, and how they relate to the environment. Among other things, a discussion was held on the environmental activities and challenges concerning Cyprus. Finally, we had the opportunity and the honor to hear tips and suggestions on how the standards can help us through the experiences of our guest speaker, Ms. Sandra Feliciano, who is the winner of the European Standards and Innovation Award 2021.
