In the frame of the “Life with Vultures” project, in collaboration with Birdlife Cyprus, we participated at the “Hunting Fair”. The exhibition took place in October 1-2 at the Cyprus Expo. With our presence we had the opportunity to get in touch with hunters, nature lovers and people in general who are frequent visitors of the countryside and we talked with them, informing them about the vulture in Cyprus, as well as how important it is to protect it. Hundreds of people had the opportunity to learn details about the project’s actions (more information here).
It is worth mentioning that most of the visitors expressed a particular interest regarding the actions they can take, in case they perceive a poisoning incident, so that the team of dogs for the detection of poisoned baits can be activated.
