In 2014 we started, the inventory of all wetlands on the island in collaboration with WWF Greece. All the results of our inventory are available at www.cypruswetlands.org. Since then, we have been continuously advocating for the better protection, conservation and restoration of the wetlands of our island, including artificial or natural.

The Code of conduct amongst other things:

  1. Will highlight to all citizens the importance of the wetlands of our island.
  2. Will prioritize the importance of the various natural and artificial wetlands and
  3. Will remind all of us of the existing legislation measures that need to be enforced in these sensitive ecosystems by all of us, but will also identify potential needs for additional regulatory adjustments.

The Code of Conduct will be ready before the end of 2022.

We are very happy and look forward to start working on its preparation!
